R&D Topical Outline

The R&D infrared training course is intended to be appropriate for IR users with applications that are demanding or do not fit a maintenance or condition monitoring paradigm. The course material is distributed over three days. The participant of this course is expected to be a reasonably skilled user of his - or her - instrument.

We discuss measurement practice in various applications and arrange a number of practical measurement exercises. Special attention is provided for consultation for each participant's unique measurement and analysis scenario. We will suggest approaches, discuss limitations, and suggest the best equipment options to optimize your results.

Years of experience have told us that a good understanding of physics is necessary for a professional thermographer. The R&D course explores infrared theories, physics, and the use of filters and windows in detail.

Course Highlights

bullet

Gain a deeper understanding of the basic theories behind infrared thermography and heat transfer than presented in our Level I course.

bullet

Increase your expertise in operating your IR equipment, including the sensor head, optics, filtration, and image processing software/hardware. We will discuss measurement practice in various applications.
